ELECTION FILING

Notice is hereby given that the office of the City Clerk of the City of Earlville, 210 W. Railroad Street, Earlville, IL has petitions available beginning September 20, 2022 for the upcoming Consolidated Election to be held April 4, 2023, for the following offices:

                                                            City Officials

   One (1) Alderman Ward 1 – 4 year term  

   One (1) Alderman Ward 2 – 4 year term  

   One (1) Alderman Ward 3 – 4 year term  

Candidate petitions for the Consolidated Election may be filed beginning December 12, 2022, and will be accepted through December 19, 2022, in the City Clerk’s office (in person or by mail), 210 W. Railroad Street, P.O. Box 98, Earlville, IL between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. NOTE: The Clerk's office will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on the final day, December 19, 2022, to file petitions.

Earlville Polling Places:

  • Earl Precinct 1 - Immanuel Lutheran Church, 415 S. East Street
  • Earl Precinct 2 - Earl Town Hall, 1506 E US 34 

 

Voter Registration:

  • You can register to vote at the City Clerk's office at City Hall, 210 W. Railroad Street.
  • It is suggested to call ahead (815-246-9588) to be sure a deputy registrar is available.

 

The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible to register to vote:

  • Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Must be eighteen (18) years old by election day.
  • Must be a resident of the precinct for thirty (30) days as of the next election.
  • Must provide two forms of identification, one with the current street address and an identification with a photo.

 

Note:

Registrations cannot be taken at City Hall within 28 days prior to an election.

If you move or change your name, you must re-register.
