Administration and Finance

The Administration Office (consisting of the Mayor, City Clerk, Treasurer, Office Manger/Deputy Clerk and Assistant Clerk) is responsible for facilitating several of the day-to-day activities of our City government.  The Administration Department provides the background support for the City. This department performs information management and technology, assists with appropriations, intergovernmental relations, financial management, accounting, utility billing, risk management and personnel functions. Here, residents may obtain applications for permits and/or licenses that are related to liquor licenses, scavenger licenses, vendor permits, video gaming permits, vehicle stickers, building and zoning issues, etc. as well as being a contact for general questions. Some of these permits and/or licenses can be issued at the time you file your application, others may need to be forwarded to other officials for processing. The Administration Office will coordinate the application processes and work for prompt responses to all. Various maps of Earlville can be viewed here as well.

The Finance Department maintains the financial systems, records, and functions of the city in accordance with applicable laws and procedures.  The departments’ goal is to ensure accurate and efficient service to residents, city departments, and local, state, and federal agencies. The Finance Department performs accounts receivable and payable functions, payroll, risk management, utility billing, appropriations assistance, financial reporting, investing and purchasing. The staff at City Hall is here to answer any of your utility billing questions, to help resolve any problems with your utility account, or to assist in answering any other questions people may have.
